Talking with Your Kids about God - Empowering
Not Just For Parents
Earlier this year, the author, Natasha Crain, wrote a blog post about how kids who have 600+ hours of Bible teaching from church can leave knowing very little. She said a big reason for this is that we are giving our kids random puzzle pieces but not showing them the larger picture.
Talking with Your Kids about God not only gives you the puzzle pieces but also the big picture, instructions on putting the pieces together, and what to do once you see the picture for yourself.
It’s not just kids who need this book, but adults too. I’ve read over a hundred theology books and over a hundred apologetics books and there was still plenty for me to learn. Natasha impressively communicates difficult truths in simple and clear ways. Many of her stories and analogies are genuinely the best I’ve heard.
Parents Will Be Empowered
As a parent of 2 young children, I am so thrilled to have this book as a resource. To have 30 specific topics to cover with my kids is simply amazing. I'm sure each conversation will lead to even further conversations.
Each chapter gives a brief, but excellent lesson on the topic being discussed. But not only that, every chapter ends with multiple conversation starter questions. After reading this book I feel confident that I can communicate some great truths to my kids in ways that they understand.
This will be a go-to recommended resource for years to come. Read it. You won't regret it.
